Joanne and Pete are getting married the end of August at St Mary’s Church in Caldicot followed by wedding reception at The Royal George Hotel in Tintern. For their engagement session they wanted to go back to the place Pete proposed. I always like it when couples have crisp idea of what they want to do for their pre wedding shoot, so I was very much looking forward to this little trip. I was however unaware on the amount of hiking that needed to be done to actually GET THERE. :)) Thankfully Pete took my weighting tone camera bag off me and out of breath I made it to the top. They told me the story of how they knew each other all their lives, and used to spend time there when they were kids, with Pete and his mates riding down the hill on their bikes (thanks god he’s still alive!).
You have to admit the views were totally stunning from this spot. And the weather wasn’t too bad either, although the forecast wasn’t very friendly and I remember we hesitated whether to give it a go that day. Glad we did. Other than Pete forgetting his hay fever pills and sneezing every few seconds with his nose and eyes all bright red (I had to deal with it in photoshop!!!!) the session was totally perfect.
Hope you like the photographs. x x
