July this year was my busiest month of the year.
Carolyn and Marc got married on 14th of July 2011 in St Martin’s Church in Caerphilly with wedding reception taking place in De Courceys Manor. Wedding dress was provided by The Bridal Boudoir shop from Cardiff – a very friendly place with some beautiful wedding dresses and accessories who I worked for in the past, it was great to see a real bride wearing their beautiful gown!
It was a wonderful day with some fantastic (although very windy!) weather, beautiful colours, classy interiors and elegant wedding details. Bride and Groom made a wonderful couple open to suggestions and keen to be photographed which always hugely influences on our experience as wedding photographers. You can obviously imagine it’s so much easier and far less stressful knowing that people actually REALLY WANT to be photographed and we don’t end up feeling like intruders and unwanted aspect of the day.
Hope you enjoy Carolyn and Mark’s wedding images. x x
Bridal preparation took place in New House Hotel, in one of the bridal suites. I found the room very photogenic and the light in there immense!
This mirror is just too pretty to miss! I’m not sure if it belongs to the bride or it was the make-up artist who brought it but camera loved it.
And the groomsmen party getting ready at groom’s parents house.
Wedding ceremony took place at St Martins Church in Caerphilly
Whilst groom and ushers already arrived to the church me and Carolyn had a spare few minutes to take some bridal portraits around the suite.
The groom was getting quite nervous although I don’t think we were any late!
after the ceremony we all went for a walk around Caerphilly Castle, Carolyn told me the very first time we met she wanted her wedding photographs taken there, thankfully the weather let us!
For the afternoon and evening celebrations were arranged to take place in De Courceys Manor.
tied with the engagement session theme from couple of weeks earlier bride and groom decided on the balloon group shot. Unfortunately it was sooooo windy the baloons didn’t end up behaving the way we wanted them to!
At this point I’d like to thank Carolyn and Mark for treating me and Raf like their own wedding guests. We were sat together with their friends, had our own name tags and were included into the table plan! The meal was DELICIOUS, we enjoyed this break from work a lot and hugely appreciated such wonderful gesture from bride and groom’s side.
Although the weather was beautiful we couldn’t resist couple of photographs inside De Courcey’s patio room, which was initially our ‘rain’ option.
