wedding photography @ St Davids hotel, Cardiff – Cerian and Justin

It’s a pleasure to share this beautiful wedding of Cerian and Justin who got married at St John the Babtist Church in Sully, Cardiff on Saturday the 30th of July with their wedding reception taking place at St Davids hotel in Cardiff Bay.

This wedding was a little bit different experience for me since bride and groom didn’t want any couple portraits and the biggest impact was to be put on traditional aspects of the day as well as formal group photography.  There was no permission  to photograph the church ceremony (vicar rules! ;)) so I couldn’t stand nowhere near the front of the church during wedding service (which was a bit of a shame as that would surely add more of the traditional element to the wedding reportage). But we obviously still tried as much as we could to get some good shots from the back of the church.

I was warm welcomed at the bride’s parents house in the morning, loved the bus trip to the venue with all wedding guests and then  thoroughly enjoyed the wedding reception at St Davids. I absolutely LOVE St Davids’ staff  who I find very accommodating;  plus they treat me to some fantastic food each time I photograph a wedding there which seriously is a huge bonus.  This is nowhere near being a norm in Wales and I loved to have discovered that one still experiences the old schooled hospitality at St Davids hotel. Thank you guys!

The style of Cerian and Justin’s wedding I’d describe as classic and simple, black and white/cream color scheme worked perfectly, wedding stationary, centerpieces and table plan added the elegant, fine art character. I don’t know the bride too well but I could not imagine her in any other dress than the one she chose. She looked 100% her beautiful self.  x
