Have a peek of yesterday’s wedding of Frances and Daniel who luckily found and chose me to be their wedding photographer. Beautiful ceremony at Saint Margarets Church in Roath, Cardiff, followed by wedding reception at Dyffryn Gardens. Beautiful day and beautiful couple. Fantastic church ceremony where, watch this, I was allowed to do my job without anyone’s definite objections (my jaw hit the floor that the reverend actually treated me nicely for a change!
) It was a massive relief as St Margaret’s church is simply too beautiful not to photograph it properly!![]()
I’ll tell more about this day on a full post occasion, for now just a preview.

Fantastic pictures! Really happy that the Reverend was so accommodating for you. I am as much amazed by your captures as your speed of getting them on here
Tim… it took me A DAY to get them ready and uploaded here… 30 odd photographs? Are you still amazed?
oh my Lord… pieknie!
oooh – these are BEAUTIFUL!! They brought a big smile to my face – love the richness of colours – and the parents of those gorg flower girls are going to LOVE those pics – they are adorable!!
The two bridesmaids with their flower baskets is a killer shot. I don’t know how you managed to move around during the ceremony like that but got some shots and angles I’ve rarely seen before.
Stunning set of images!!
Thank you all!
Az, admittedly I’m so chuffed with the church photographs myself especially that I was there with no second photographer. The reverend literally shocked me, he gave me a tour through the church’s main and back chambers, showed doors I could use, places I could stand etc… not only that, during the actual service he was giving me tips on where to move to take a shot. I was allowed to sneak to the back during the 3rd hymn which I did getting all the contextual shots of this absolutely stunning church.
The service was rather unusual, it was the whole mass with Communion not just a wedding service. So there was more time than ever.
Honestly though, this was the nicest and the most open minded vicar I’ve ever stumbled across in my entire life in the Anglican church.
I was ready to face another ‘no photos during the service and if I hear the camera click I’ll walk you out of here’ type of attitude. What a positive surprise.
I am the mother of the two flower girls and although I am baised it is a lovely shot, I can usally manage a good photo of one or other but not both. Can’t wait to see more. Thank you.
beautiful ‘sneak preview’ – our Parish church looks more like a Cathedral – and as for the Bride & Groom shots, they are stunning! Sue
[...] It’s a pleasure to share the full set of wedding photographs of Frances and Daniel with you. The happy couple got married back in May in Saint Margareth Church in Roath, Cardiff, followed by wedding reception at Dyffryn Gardens. I’ve shown quite a few photographs from their day in a rather chunky teaser, you can see mostly wedding ceremony photographs there http://www.phototom.co.uk/blog/wedding/dyffryn-gardens-wedding-photography-fran-dan-preview/3233 [...]

I particularly enjoyed the first photos of the bride and family preparing the wedding, and the scenes inside the church. I wish the couple the very best.
Wow, what a venue! Great candids and color you captured. Nice work!
Thanks
