Second of my marathon weekend weddings – Menna and Simon getting married at St Illtuds Church in Llantwit Major, followed by wedding reception at The Barn at Rosedew Farm. What a day that was!!! British summer at its usual so drizzle for the first half a day and heavy sky for the other but in this case I couldn’t care less – for several reasons. First of all, the bride is one of the most positive people I’ve ever stumbled across in my entire life; in her presence it turns impossible to be worried or annoyed with something. Secondly, this wedding was literally packed with quirky details, decorations, ideas, weather was the last thing on my mind when I saw what was prepared! For the start an actual barn within the living farm converted into a wedding venue, construction works finished literally days before the wedding, you have to admit it looked fantastic! on top of it a very creative designer – the bride – taking care of all the barn wedding aspects. So we had hail bails, loads of bunting, a cute photobooth (that was eaten by the cows by the way!
)) ), sweet treats table, love notes corner, loads of vintage suitcases, boxes, flowers – OMG the flowers were incredible!!!, hand sewn hearts as favours – the list goes on!
The below set is just a teaser, I wasn’t able to edit all the photographs I liked as it was… well 330 ‘my very favs’ when I finished ‘selecting for blog’! It’s annoying not being able to show all the aspects of the day at this stage but I will do so for sure a bit later.
Lastly, thank you to Jarek who assisted and second shot for me at Menna and Simon’s wedding. It was hugely appreciated; I got up with slight fever and constantly running nose that day, my body already tired after the Friday’s wedding so additional pair of hands at this point made a big difference. Jarek is getting married himself in several weeks and I’m flying to Poland to photograph his wedding, it was great working together and getting all inspired by Menna and Si’s day.

The day was literally beyond words fabulous, full of laughter, fun, quirkiness, and LOVE. More soon. x x x
