Have a look at a bunch of my favourite photographs from this beautiful wedding day.
I met Sarah and Matt very briefly absolute ages ago at my first ever wedding fayre; they booked me quickly after a short conversation over the phone and I haven’t heard off them for the next 18 months. The time flew by and I was feeling uncomfortable with knowing absolutely nothing about this couple, and was a bit stressed before the pre wedding shoot – I didn’t have the slightest idea who on earth was going to turn up for the session! Thankfully, I was lucky to meet this energetic, extremely vibrant couple very confident and natural in front of the camera (see some pre wedding images HERE.)
Wedding day of Sarah and Matt was full of positive vibe and humorous moments. The bride was getting ready at her house, you can tell I enjoyed the spacious living room with modern funky chandelier and purple wall paper! <LOVE!> I hugely appreciated Sarah was ready well in advance able to chill out and spend some time with me taking bridal portraits – it’s an extremely rare practise as I mostly witness rush and stress at this point with photographs being the last thing on brides’ minds! (and I don’t blame them at all!)![]()
The bride with her father were driven to Maes Manor where the wedding ceremony and reception was held.
It was the first time I got to photograph wedding in Maes Manor; I knew what to expect of their website but nonetheless the ceremony room made quite an impression on me. Ceiling covered with fairy lights surely adds to the mood of this elegant interior. From photographic side the low amount of artificial, ambient light (no windows anywhere) made it a bit of a challenge for me. I tested good couple of camera and light settings before achieving results you can see below – well lit couple without ‘killing’ the mood of the room or fairy lights on the ceiling.
Right after the ceremony the sky was grey but dry, so we managed to photograph the groups and take some shots of the couple in/with the car. After that it started drizzling and didn’t really stop – like I said I was probably the only person noticing it. Maes Manor lies within stunningly beautiful grounds but we were not able to make much use of them and had no choice but to take all the couple shots in the hotel room that we found the most suitable. I knew after the pre wedding shoot that bride and groom were going to be super easy to work with, so together with Lisa the videographer we spent good couple of minutes shuffling furniture around the room, posing the couple and laughing.![]()
I loved the confetti thrown during the first dance and enjoyed the performance of a professional singer. I left the partying bunch of Sarah and Matt’s friends and family around 10pm heading home with the usual back pain and smile on my face.![]()
Take a look at the set below, it was one of those chilled and full of laughter days that I thoroughly enjoyed ( getting only a little bit grumpy with the weather.)

Really great images Aga, love the candid shots! Especially the look on one ladies face where another lady’s handbag is backing into her!
Ha ha Tim, you’ve noticed! I had a laugh of it myself.
