I smile when I look at these photographs. Lisa and Kev’s wedding was truly a fun day with loads of laughter and more photographing than ever. The couple ‘warned’ me the day we met for a pre booking chat that wedding photographs were one of the most important factors of the day and that they wanted as much of it as possible.
Sounded like music to my ears from day one then, we carried on exchanging ideas, sending links and planning. Even the day before I e-mailed Lisa ‘how about a vintage suitcase with a little ‘Mrs and Mrs’ or ‘just married’ on? I know it’s stupidly late and see you tomorrow’ etc… The fact she actually managed to arrange it shows the true dedication here!![]()
On a day we had almost unlimited time for photographs which again is a very rare comfort. I think it was down to the plan of their day that there was a nice 1.5 hour gap between the end of speeches and the evening guests arrival, so we used it to the extreme. In the usual case scenario the situation is me promising ‘this is the very last shot, promise, after that I’m letting you go’, in Lisa and Kev’s case they were ‘oh, and can we do this? And that? And how about the other one you mentioned?’. I honestly wish every wedding photographer this sort of clients!
I think the below set shows the atmosphere of the day and all the pretty little things that were arranged to make the day beautiful. This set is also a great example of how two photographers on the job make a difference. I always say to my clients that it’s not essential to have two photographers to create a beautiful story of a day, however for photography lovers and medium/large size weddings it does work perfectly to have another pair of hands on the task. Huge thank you to Raf for his help with this wedding, all the groom’s party photographs are his, as well as many others (you can figure out the diversity of angles and perspectives, close up photographs against the wide angle group shots etc… are all result of a good team work.
)
One more thing that comes to my mind is that this for me was the first wedding with 4 running like crazy kids, that, I have to admit, were extremely easy to work with. Other than having my lens licked by the little gentleman with his tongue sticking out on majority of photographs, they made brilliant models and definitely added specific flare to the day. Bridesmaid Lauren was gutted she couldn’t climb trees in her dress (I think there was some bribery going on ‘you’ll stay in your dress on for the whole day and as a reward…’) otherwise we’d surely have a photograph of all of them sat on that massive tree next to each other.![]()
Enough talking, I hope you enjoy the below set just like I thoroughly enjoyed this photographic treat.

This is it! The lens was licked right here! Unfortunately I didn’t notice and carried on for a little bit, and all the photographs had to be trashed… I kind of retrieved the one below, but you can see the blurred patch next to Kev’s face!
