Martin, Jo and I met at Ben & Beth’s wedding in the summer of 2013, I remember Martin being ‘that tall guy with the camera’ who was getting in a way haha…
When they came to visit me few months later they told me all about their plans to get married in Sorrento – none of us could hide the excitement. We started the planning process and the flights were booked months in advance making everything feel real.
Their destination wedding location exceeded all of our expectations, Sorrento is an Italian dream, little town buzzing with life, heat, local music and THE FOOD! (…aaaand the drinks… )
Part of why this trip was such a great experience was the fact that I was there with my best friend and awesome photographer Asia, and we were able to extend our stay for 4 days enjoying not only the photography side of things but also having a sneaky chill out time on the beach, killer tijuanas and even dance the night away.
Photography wise we had everything we could possibly wish for. The locations that Martin and Jo had chosen were just so stunningly beautiful! Outdoor ceremony at the Cloisters, a drive down the marina, food and chilling time at Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria all the way through to the evening where there was fun by the pool. Other than the heat that was really taking its toll by the end of the day me and Asia hardly sat down all day.
It’s also worth mentioning that we were spoilt rotten by the hotel staff, fed with the finest food and really taken care of by the wedding couple and their guests. What a great bunch you all were!
Overall it was an unforgettable experience, one I totally wouldn’t mind repeating These images below are just few tasters, I haven’t had a chance to put my hands on the entire set yet but I thought I’d share those for now.
