Rhian and Rhodri’s wedding at St Donats Castle was nothing short of spectacular. I got to work with the stunning couple leading up to their wedding day, we had an adventurous engagement session down the Gower back in May (check Rhi & Rhod’s engagement here) so I was really excited for the 11th of July. The perfect weather added to the experience, the atmosphere amongst guests was amazing, ice creams delicious (after a fairly long service at the church in the summer heat everybody – and I mean EVERYBODY – queued to put their hands on an ice cream. I’ve never seen wedding ice cream cones in such demand and the poor ice cream lady so busy!) ;)
St Donats is definitely one of my favourite venues in South Wales, it provides great opportunities for wedding photographs under any type of weather (something one needs to consider getting married in Wales! ). It offers stylish indoor spaces, two separate outdoor lawn areas as well as terrace garden with a variety of architecture. All of this topped off by some amazing views, stepping stones down to the beach, forest etc… It’s almost impossible to use all of the locations during one wedding! This time we brought smoke bombs to make the couple portrait shoot even more epic. My personal favourite is the one at the end of the set, shot at the edge of the forest. Huge thanks to my second shooter Tom for making this happen (check Tom’s work here ).
Another thing for you to check is Rhi & Rhod’s wedding video made by the super talented Ben Walton, you may want to give this a watch, it’s such a great piece of work! watch the video here
Anyway, enough of me typing. Here are my favourite captures from that wonderful day, there were so many in the client gallery it was super tough to choose. I do hope you enjoy. :)

Thank you wonderful people for letting me and Tom be there and photograph your ACE day, we had a true blast. Thank you for choosing Aga Tomaszek Photography to be your South Wales wedding photographer.
This is absolutely gorgeous! I love all the vibrant colours and yes… the ice-creams became a fabulous idea in the wedding :)
Do you remember that queue? Full on British queue to an ice cream cart… ;)
Of course yes! These ice cream were amazing… I think you had two… or three… ?
al right there! ;)
Pure awesomeness! so many great moments captured!
I love this Aga, possibly one of my favourites of yours. Lovely set. Quick question for you: If you could only choose one lens for a wedding (eek!?) which would it be and why? :)
Phil
This is an easy one Phil, 35mm, the best reportage lens there is! I’d shoot everything with it if I wasn’t a sucker for variety ;) But it’s 35mm all the way!
Every frame a winner, don’t know how you do it. Bloody good stuff.
Beautiful work – some fabulous lovely moments captured perfectly x
Gorgeous work Aga!! love the smoke bombs :)
Your beautiful vibrant pictures always look 3D, like they could leap right out at you! What a wonderful summer celebration.
Gorgeous work as always Aga. Love the colours and the sharpness of your photos. x
